Resource Attendee
How can I set up Exchange so when I user creates an appointment and chooses a
resource, the resource automatically becomes a resource attendee versus a
required attendee? Thanks!

Book them as a resource and use the AutoAcceptAgent which is a free
download from MS.

Re: Resource Attendee
Mark,

Thanks for ypur response. I already have that set up. Since my end users
are forgetting to select resource for the meeting room object, I was hoping
to program the meeting room objects to default to resource versus a required
attendee. Do you have another suggetion? Thanks!

Re: Resource Attendee
I guess you will just have to impress upon your users that they must
select the resources button for resources.

My I have the same setup in my organization and I label all my resources
with a - at the beginning of the name so that they are at the top of the
GAL list, and can be differentiated easily from standard users. Then I
express on my users that if they don't place the resource in the
resources field then the resource will not be booked, and in my
organization, the WRITTEN rule is that whom ever has the resource book
online has first preference on the resource.

Persons therefore make sure that they do put resources in the resources
field.

I see, sorry about that but you failed to mention it. Unfortunately I
don't know of a way that Exchange might change the attendee type and
"override" the customer inputs.
