Exch2003 journaling and Blackberry
We plan to start journaling our email. We also run Blackberry servers.
Almost everyone in our company has a Blackberry.

Therefore, is the store that contains the Blackberry service account
mailbox the only store that we need to journal? That service account sees
the mail that goes into every other mailbox in every other store, since it
passes every message to RIM's srp for BB delivery?

What if they have rules that move messages to other folders? Or
delivery to a pst? etc.etc.

You'll miss those messages otherwise.

Re: Exch2003 journaling and Blackberry
and there are also filters on the desktop manager that people configure to
not forward certain messages to the BB, based on sender, etc.

But surely it also goes into the users store so it would be journaled
in it's way in and out of there?

Re: Exch2003 journaling and Blackberry
Hi there,

Do you have BlackBerry Enterprise Server? or using Web Client of BlackBerry

Web Client BlackBerry: email to be collected by Web Client of cell phone
company
(user must have Outlook Web Access or POP3 in order to activate this
function) and
push to PDA device. However, outgoing email from PDA will not be stored on
Exchange
since it is Web Client

Another hand, BlackBerry Enterpris Server is fully interoprating with
Exchange whereas
email in/out will be based on the user exchange mailbox.

Yes for BlackBerry Enterprise Server service if you integrated already
No for Web Client BlackBerry Service since outgoing email from PDA is not
recorded on
Exchange server's sent items.

Hope it helps.
