A stupid question really, but I am a newbie to Exchange server so please excuse me. In my workplace, we are currently using Exchange 5.5. Soon, the server will be upgraded to Exchange 2003. I just quickly want to know: is the Directory Services of Exchange 5.5 gone after migrating to Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003? Does Active Directory of Windows 2000 or that of Windows 2003 already take care of the Exhange Server's directory?
Hi, In Exchange 200x the directory is Active Directory (thats why AD is required to run Exchange 200x). So the 5.5 directory service will be gone after migrating everything to Exchange 2003.
