Ok, I have read article KB264733 How to enable the security tab for the organization object in Exchange. I have followed the instructions to a T and now I can see some security tabs for other objects under the Exchange object but I still do not see the security tab for my Exchange organization even worse I cannot get the information store to start. Can any one lend a hand or a thought to this?
Hi, What error messages are logged in the application log when you try to start the information store? I get the error "Could not start the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service on the local computer error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly." this occured after I removed the former Administrator's permissions from the Exchange object. Nowwhen I attempt to start the service with any account I get the above message. Any assistance would help. Hi, There are no events logged in the application log? There are a number of this error type on google - have you seen if any of these apply? Removing an administrative account from the exchange objects should not cause this error to happen. Did exchange shut down properly or could it be that the exchange databases are in a dirty shutdown state? This might help: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=C86FA454-416C-4751-BD0E-5D945B8C107B&displaylang=en Leif "awd" wrote in message news:56C2C027-C6EF-4852-802E-47F689873734@microsoft.com... >I get the error "Could not start the Microsoft Exchange Information Store > service on the local computer error 1067: the process terminated > unexpectedly." this occured after I removed the former Administrator's > permissions from the Exchange object. Thanks for the suggestion but, I have already run the Disaster Analyzer tool and it reports that the Exchange store is in a clean shut down state. I will aply some updates to both servers reboot and see what happens. Thanks for your input "Leif Pedersen [MVP]" wrote: > Hi, > > There are no events logged in the application log? > > There are a number of this error type on google - have you seen if any of > these apply? > > Removing an administrative account from the exchange objects should not > cause this error to happen.
