Re-enabling inheritance on a Exchange Server object
Hi,

I have a 2000 Exchange Server that will not allow me to create new
mailboxes. I ran the Best Practice Analyzer tool and it informed me that my
problem was that the Access control list (ACL) inheritance is blocked on the
Exchange object.

The solution according to the Best Practice Analyzer tool is to use the
Active Directory Site and Services application to re-enable inheritance on
the object. The problem is that when I open ADSS I do not see the Exchange
server. Can anyone assist me with this?

Do you see the services node and exchange at all?

If not, highlight Active Directory Sites and Services [servername]

and press ALT-V and then S

Joe:

Thanks for your assistance. It worked I can now see the Exchange server now
to enable the security tab and reinsert.

Thanks for all your help.
