Here is the situation. User was setup with an exchange 2000 mailbox. User is no longer employed but supervisor requested their e-mail to be forwarded to their internal company account. User was removed from AD with the forward still in place. Supervisor now wants forward to be removed. The account doesn't show up anyplace in AD. The original user doesn't show up in the mailbox listing of exchange system manager. A test e-mail was sent to the forwarding account and it went to the supervisor. Any idea how to get rid of this forward?
Hi, That should not be possible. What happens if you enter the email address of the former employee in Outlook and press <ctrl> K. Does it resolve to the supervisors mailbox (if yes you need to have a look at the supervisors email addresses. Sorry for the delay in responding as we had a major crisis here. But when I attempt to follow your advice and I put the non-existant user's e- mail address in Outlook and press Ctrl-K it doesn't resolve back to anything. It just shows the e-mail address that doesn't show up any place else. Yet it is still being forwarded on to the supervisor. Hi, You have made sure that the email address isn't configured on the supervisors mailbox? Make a list of all email addresses and search for the address here (it should be in the system somewhere) http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Creating_a_list_of_Users_and_their_email_addresses_in_Exchange_2000_2.html Leif "MonsterMash via WinServerKB.com" <u21887@uwe> wrote in message news:607b7d3ef06d3@uwe... > Sorry for the delay in responding as we had a major crisis here. > > But when I attempt to follow your advice and I put the non-existant user's > e- > mail address in Outlook and press Ctrl-K it doesn't resolve back to > anything. > It just shows the e-mail address that doesn't show up any place else. I just looked through the list of e-mails as the article describes, but it doesn't show that e-mail account. That is what is so puzzling.
