Active Directory users and computer running slow
Active Directory users and computer running slow.

We just installed our 3rd exchange 2003 server that will be used as a
disaster recovery server only. We are having problems running the ADUS on
this server. Once you click on the icon it can take over 90 sec to come up.
Once it comes up moving around in this mmc is real slow. Ie you click on
computers to see computers in AD it can take over 3 min to populate all
computers. We are not talking about a lot of computer around 1900.

Can you point me in a direction to speed up the ad connection speeds.

Thank you for your help.

Re: Active Directory users and computer running slow
I had a similar problem and I had to recreate the DNS zone for the domain.
Cleared it right up.

I wish I still had the article to what I had to do to post it for ya.
