Scared to index attributes... =/
Hello all,

I have been asked to index two attributes in the schema, and I'm worried how
it will affect replication and the size of the AD database. I was told that
if they're already replicated to the Global Catalog that it won't be a major
difference, but with our slow links in our country offices, some as slow as
56K, I'm really worried that this might overload the infrastructure. The
two attributes are member and objectclass. I asked our AD architect and he
doesn't seem to be too worried but our lab just can't begin to reflect the
complexity of our production environment. Are there low level AD or network
sniffing tools that can monitor the performance of the DC's, NTDS, and/
network performance? Am I worrying all over nothing?

Regards,

Worrywart
