I have 2 domains: parent.com and child.parent.com and only one exchange server installed on parent.com. What I need is to create the same mailboxes for those users in child.parent.com, I mean for both domain I should create user@parent.com, but when I try to create a mailbox for user from child domain it wont do that. Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.-Rob
Hi, Did you run exchange setup /domainprep in the child domain? Did you delegate at least exchange view administrator permissions for the admin in the child domain to be able to create mailboxes? What happens when you try to create mailboxes? I ran the setup /domainprep on child domain. I logged on as parent-domain admin to the exchange server then I connected to child domain, created mailbox for a user successfully, however when i check under email addresses there is no email has been created. Any idea whay? Hi, You will need to add a recipient update service covering the child domain.
