hello ppl when i change the owner to a group from the AD, delegating the control to a domain user, how this user can access these informations form his client pc(winxp)....a book i read says that a user can modify the group's membership from the outlook but i cant find something...
The group has to be mailenabled in order to manage from outlook. Note that if you have a multiple domain forest, there are issues that can occur when trying to manage the membership. -- Joe Richards Microsoft MVP Windows Server Directory Services www.joeware.net vassilis wrote: > hello ppl > when i change the owner to a group from the AD, delegating the control to a > domain user, how this user can access these informations form his client > pc(winxp)....a book i read says that a user can modify the group's membership > from the outlook but i cant find something...

Assuming the group is now mailenabled and has been stamped by the RUS, you should be able to enter the mailnickname in Outlook or find it in the GAL and manage the membership from the properties tab. -- Joe Richards Microsoft MVP Windows Server Directory Services www.joeware.net vassilis wrote: > hmm...i runthe exchange task to turn the group into emailenabled but i still > cant understand how i can hanld the membership from the oulook client... > > > Ο χρήστης "Joe Richards [MVP]" έγγραψε: > >> The group has to be mailenabled in order to manage from outlook.
