Transferring DLs from one NT account to another in a different dom
When we move a person's mailbox from one domain to another, we usually
disconnect the mailbox from the old NT ID and connect it to the NT ID (new)
in the destination domain. Often we are required to transfer dl membership to
the new account, however, more times than not, we encounter the following
message with 'Active Directory' in the title bar:
The specific user was not found. If the user exists on another domain
controller in the enterprise, it may take 15 minutes or more for the user to
be replicated to the global catalog.
It doesn't matter how long we wait, nor which DC we connect to, we receive
this msg constantly.
We are running Exchange 2000 SP3.
