Create MB with CDOEXM w/o Domain Admin rights?
Hi,

We are attempting to script the creation of users and their mailboxes with
CDOEXM. When we do it with domain admin rights, it creates both perfectly.
But when we do it with lesser rights (including with Exchange Admin rights),
it creates the user, but when it tries to create the mailbox, we get a bad
username or password error.

We can't give the coders domain admin rights in our environment, are there
rights we can delegate to their ID so they can create mailboxes without
domain admin rights? We're using a Windows 2000 domain with Exchange 2000
(SP2).

Thanks!

See

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316792

Also note that CDOEXM will require that the users have Exchange view access.

Re: Create MB with CDOEXM w/o Domain Admin rights?
Thanks, but we found the problem. It was a programmer who was so embarrased
that he had mishandled an API call, causing the problem below, so we spent 26
man hours today trying to identify the problem, because he wouldn't come
clean until we found the issue and forced him to.

Now, he looks like an idiot and liar, instead of someone that just made a
simple mistake.

Thanks for your help!!!
