Hey, I have an Windows 2000 server with Exchange 2000 installed. This server is currently running as DC and i would like it not to run this. Can i just run DCPROMO to remove it as DC or is there a catch somewhere ?. The Exchange server is the first Exchange server in my Exchange organisation - i have one more Exchange server in this Exchange org. tia, Jan -
Hi, It is not recommended to demote a dc when Exchange is running on this server. I have read other posts from you that you are going to migrate to Exchnage 2003 on a new server. Why don't wait till the new server is in place, move everything to this new server and then uninstall Exchange from the dc?
