How to know exchange 2000 is running at standard or enterprise edition
How to know exchange 2000 is running at standard or enterprise edition?
And know which service pack has been installed?

I know in exchange 2003, if I can't create the second storage group or
mailbox , that means I am running standard edition!

Any simple way to do? I need to instruct a non technical person to identify
this.

Thanks

Re: How to know exchange 2000 is running at standard or enterprise edition
Hi,

When an exchange information store is started it writes an event to the
event log telling whether it is an unlimited version (= enterprise) or a 16
Gb limited (=standard).

If you look at the properties of an Exchange server in Exchange system
manager it will tell you the service pack installed.
