Hi, I have an exchange organisation with 2 exchange 2000 servers and one exchange 5.5 server since a few days i have stopped all the exchange services on the exchange 5.5 server( because all the mailboxes are moved to the exhange 2000 servers) and since that moment the rus does not stamp the new created maliboxes with an email adress when i start the exhange services on the 5.5 server again th rus is working properly. Is there someone who can help me?
There are a few things that will keep the RUS from working properly, and here are a few things to check on the Domain and Enterprise RUS properties. 1. Was the 5.5 server a DC, and is the RUS using this server? 2. Do you have a third party email address such as a fax server that was once hosted on the 5.5 server? 3. Is the 5.5 server a DNS server? Look on the properties of the RUS and see if the 5.5 server is being used for anything. If none of these resolve the issue, another thing to try is change the DC that the RUS uses and if you have another 2K server, move the RUS to it... You may need to increase the logging of the AL to max and perform a rebuild and update to see if any errors are logged...
