I setup up a distribution group in active directory with an exchange email address. I added a contact with a remote email address in AD and added the contact to the DG. When I send email to the DG it appears as if exchange is attempting to deliver the mail locally even though the contact has a remote address resulting in an NDR stating that recips cannot be found. Contacts with local addresses generate NDR's stating that the mail is bouncing between recipients. Any ideas ? Gerry
Why did you create contacts with local addresses? Contacts are used for External addresses only... -- Regards, Sasa Milovanovic MCSE:Messaging sasa.milovanovic(at)exchangemaster.net "gerry" wrote in message news:OT$ELT6rFHA.460@TK2MSFTNGP15.phx.gbl... >I setup up a distribution group in active directory with an exchange email > address. > I added a contact with a remote email address in AD and added the contact > to > the DG. > When I send email to the DG it appears as if exchange is attempting to > deliver the mail locally even though the contact has a remote address > resulting in an NDR stating that recips cannot be found. > Contacts with local addresses generate NDR's stating that the mail is > bouncing between recipients. > > Any ideas ? > > Gerry > >
