ExBPA Config XML update released today
We have released an xml update for ExBPA on web earlier today. The update is
targeted to ExBPA 2.8 (English) and ExBPA 2.7 (all other languages).

XML Version: 2.11.18.0

The rules included in this xml are pretty much the same as those we have in
the xml shipped as part of Exchange Server 2007 SP1.

To get this update, you can use the automatic update feature of ExBPA or you
can manually update by selecting the "Check for updates now"

This update contains the latest localized xml files for : German, Spanish,
French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese-Simplified and Chinese
Traditional. And they are FULLY localized. They should not contain any
English strings. For customers who are running ExBPA 2.7 can get these
updated xml files automatically upon the application launch or manually
through “Check for updates now” button. The last time we shipped fully
localized xml files was the summer 2006, so this update can be considered a
major version change.

RE: ExBPA Config XML update released today
I used this tool today with the new updates and ran the Exchange 2007
readiness scan. The scan reported that none of my domain controllers are
Windows Server 2003 SP1 or higher. This is not true. All of my domain
controllers are at least SP1 and most are at SP2. Any known issues with this?

Thanks

RE: ExBPA Config XML update released today
Hi Dennis,

Sorry for the slow reply.

By any chance, are your domain controllers located in an OU other than
"ou=Domain Controllers"? If that is the case, the error "Active Directory
domain 'Foo' does not contain at least..." error.

RE: ExBPA Config XML update released today
Hmm, I don't have other possible reasons off top of my head then. If you can
send the xml output of the scan to me (It is located at
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\ExBPA), I can drill down more. My email address is
haruyas@microsoft.com
