I just started the process of moving our Exchange 2k3 server over to a new 2k3 box -- both running Enterprise Edition. I'm trying to get the public folders to replicate over from the old server (source) to the new server (destination). I went into System Manager, went to Folders, and then Public Folders and went into each of the public folders and added the destination server in the replication list. I'm following KB article 822931. The article then states that if there are sub-folders within the top-level folder to go into "Propagate Settings" and select "Replicas" in order to get those sub-folders replicated. It says to do this process for each folder/sub-folder. To check the status it says to go into the top-level folder's properties, go to the Replication tab, then Details, and make sure each server is listed as "In Sync". Then it says to remove the source server from the replication list. I went through this yesterday morning. I did this from the source server and as I was doing it I also had the destination server in front of me and I could see the pub.edb and pub.stm files increasing in size. However, when I went back about an hour or two later the status showed "In Sync" on one side and "Local Modified" on the other (depending on whether I was on the source or destination). The size of the pub.edb and pub.stm files does not match as well. Am I doing something wrong. I read another article that stated to go into each folder and do "Send Contents" to force the replication. I tried that this morning. Any other ideas? I saw there were tools out there but I wasn't sure how successful they would be now that I've done what I've done. Thanks!
