The DST MSEXTMZ Tool
Just a quick question. I've updated all workstations and servers with the dst
patch. I am ready and plan to run the exchange calendar update tool (msextmz
2.0) today. Should I install KB 931836 (February Com. Time Zone Update) and
then KB 926666 (Update for DST Exchange SP2) on my exchange server BEFORE
running the KB 930879 (msextmz 2.0) exchange update tool? Does it really
matter? Cant find a reference for this.

Thanks in Advance,

Steve

Yes, it does matter, particularly if you have OWA users creating a lot of
recurring appointments - it's recommended to apply 931836 and 926666 on
Exchange servers *after* you rebase appointments.

Re: The DST MSEXTMZ Tool
It would have been nice if MS actually gave the right order in "Preparing
for Daylight Savings Time changes in 2007" -- which when I printed it out on
2/21 said the order was apply the OS and Exchange updates *before* the
Exchange or Outlook Time Zone Update tools.

I am not going to unintall the patches, thank you very much. It was hard
enough coordinating the installs. I am going to run the Outlook tool on the
public folders and the Exchange tool on the users with the patches installed
and try to fix any disasters manually.
