domain to domain pop3 email internally
We are using a hybrid exchange 2003 and 5.5 environment. Here is what
we have. We have 2 domains. lets say prod.com with a child
test.prod.com. there is a MS 2k3 pop server installed in the
test.prod.com domain by the name of pop.test.prod.com. I have a contact
created in AD with an email address of user@prod.com and its primary
email address is user@test.prod.com. when sending from pro.com to the
test.prod.com email address it first routes the message to our
externally facing spam appliance and then back into the environment
where it finds the user in the test.prod.com domain and sends the
message on. i want to force any mail addressed to test.prod.com to stay
internal with out trying to go outside of our internal mail
environment. these messages are only from internal. test.prod.com will
not be accepting any mail from outside of the company. all of our
connectors are exchange 5.5 at the moment. where and what do i need to
change on our connectors so anything sent from prod.com to
test.prod.com will resolve internally and not try to go externally.
Thanks for the help.
