I have a 3GB message store and I do a brick level backup to a bunch of PST files. On the next server I restore the PST's with EXmerge. It all works great but: the message on the second server is 13GB but the origanal is only 3GB. I tried eseutil /D and that did not free up any space. Any idea's anyone? Thanks in advance. RSC

that's because you lose SIS with exmerge...when you imported everything back into the mailboxes, you imported every single message, individually...why did you do this? couldn't you just move the mailboxes from the 1st server to the 2nd server? -- Susan Conkey [MVP] wrote in message news:1146602260.472006.113720@i40g2000cwc.googlegroups.com... > > I have a 3GB message store and I do a brick level backup to a bunch of > PST files.
