hmmm, what happended to my Message Tracking Center
Since this morning, 10:06 am to be specific, Exchange Message Tracking
Center stopped logging any messages send or received within in the
organization.

Enable message tracking is turned on and no changes where made to the
Exchange system in the last few weeks.

Anyone who's familiar with this problem and has a suitable solution, PLEASE
HELP ME.

Re: hmmm, what happended to my Message Tracking Center
have you run out of room on the drive where the message tracking logs are?
did someone delete the files? can you see them?

Re: hmmm, what happended to my Message Tracking Center
All the files are still there and got about 14GB left on the drive.

Just know I have opened the logfile with an editor and see that all events
have been logged upon this time.
But in Message Tracking Center it still stops at 10:06am.

Re: hmmm, what happended to my Message Tracking Center
to install the sp on your workstation, just run update.exe on the
workstation, just like on the server. do you have another server you can
try to run message tracking from? any errors in the event log?

Re: hmmm, what happended to my Message Tracking Center
When I type "update.exe" on my workstation or on other Server, it says:
"update.exe is a unknown file name".

I can not add the snap-in in mmc on the other Servers, because I only have
Exchange installed on one Server .

Re: hmmm, what happended to my Message Tracking Center
Hi, me again.

Ok situation solved, partly.

Using MMC and snap-in Message Tracking Center has no errors, all the data
is logged and there are no time holes.

BUT, using (exchange) System Manager I have several time holes.

Re: hmmm, what happended to my Message Tracking Center
that's odd...as far as "update.exe" though, you have to be running it from
the location where the SP2 files are located...

Re: hmmm, what happended to my Message Tracking Center
Oh, I thought "update.exe" could just run from the command prompt at any XP
station.

Oh by the way, I run "Exchange 6.5, SP2" on a "SBS2k3" server and just
learned that "Exchange System Manager Installation" is not included on that
platform .

See:

As of today I have no problems with the "Message Tracking Center", there are
no time holes (via MMC and via System Manager)
But when I query yesterday via "System Manager" it still stops at 10:07am.

Still do not know where it came from and also did not find any related data
in the Event Viewer.
If this was a one time error, I am not going to bother. So I will monitor
this event for a short time and will let you know the outcome.

Tks for shinning your light on this topic Susan,
