Re: Notes Migration to an Exchange Resource Forest
The answer to your first question is, yes, the Notes Connector can create
user accounts. by default, it creates mail-enabled contacts, but you can
tell it to create user accounts instead. I think the passwords are randomly
generated and written to a file, but I would have to test that.
Normally, the accounts are "mailbox enabled" by the Migration Wizard, but if
you are using the Quest Notes Migrator tool, one of the options is to
mailbox enable the user accounts. The Quest tool is good, but practice,
practice, practice. It might take some tuning for your environment. I just
finished a Notes "migraine". Here is my ramblings about it, if you are
interested.

Re: Notes Migration to an Exchange Resource Forest
Hi Jim,
Many thanks for answering. We have decided to generate some random passwords
for users via VBScript instead.
On another note, I would like to find out fomr you if you have any idea if
the notes connector supports connections to a Lotus Domino on AIX? All I can
dig out from the KB articles are that the pre-requisites for the Domino
version, not the OS it's running on. Am I to assume the notes connector can
connect to Domino on both AIX and Windows? Would appreciate if you have some
links to official stuff on this. I have given up trying to search for it.
Many thanks.
