Hi I am trying to setup public folder replication between to organisations using IORT. I have created an account in both AD's and given it owner permissions to the top level of the folders I wish to replicate. I have created the configuration file using exscfg.exe and I am getting connected to both public folder structures in this setup. The problem is when I run the exssrv.exe input my username, password, config file location and working directory and click Ok I immediatley get a "cannot create service error" I have checked the logs and all I get is: [EXCHSYNC] Account=administrator Directory=E:\Exchange Tools\Exchsync Config=C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.SENERGYLTD\My Documents\Untitled.esc Automatic=1 ReplicateRawNTSD=0 and there is no errors showing in event viewer Any help would be appreciated
I had to log on to the exchange server as one of the accounts that was created, and then I was able to start the service. I also gave the account local admin on the exchange server. The service could not be run using my own account. hope this helps.
