EXMerge from E2K on a DC
Trying to run exmerge step one with a source 2000 Exchange Server that is
also a Domain Controller. I've created an exmerge account and a exmergroup
giving the group full rights to the message store. Exmerge account granted
local workstation administrator rights but no additional domain group
membership rights.

EXmerge run gives an error when trying to get the mailboxes on the server.
Outlook installed on the workstation.

What am I missing here??

Re: EXMerge from E2K on a DC
You don't need "Full rights to the message Store". You need "Send As and
Receive As" allow rights. Check that you have those. You may have allow
rights, but if you have both Allow and Deny, and both are inherited, it
still won't work - the Deny will override the allow.

You have too many rights there, but you do need Send As/Receive As
rights, which are different and not wrapped up into what you've
assigned to the account.

Re: EXMerge from E2K on a DC
Stuck in a loop on this. I expected and specified the "send as" and "receive
as" to no avail.

exmerge.log giving ox8004011d's - persistantly. We've gone as far as
breaking the inheritance and removeing all deny's (we have to get this
working!) Still get the same thing.

Mailbox migration wizard also gives a similar error.

If anyone's got any ideas I can try before calling PSS in the morning, I'd
appreciate hearing them.

thanks.
