EXBPA (newest Version) Performance Counter Issue
Hallo,

Can anyone tell me why i have this performance counter issues.
I run EXBPA Version 2.5.7720.2 with Config: 2.9.0.1
I start EXBPA on an XP Pro (+SP2) Workstation with .NET Framework 1.1
installed

If i make an "ConnectivityTest" (with WAN speed selected ), i get from every
server back the critical Issue:
that the performance counters could not be received.

"Error (The wait operation timed out) accessing perfmon counter RPC
Operations/sec in category MSExchangeIS for instance on server XXXXXX,
skipping setting."

i executed this tool as Enterprise admin, so there can not be anny
permission issues!

And if i check with perfmon tool (same user) than i can remote connect to
all servers an can receive the MSExchangeIS\RPC Operations/sec counter.
There is no problem and i get values back.
So whats the problem of EXBPA?

THANX in advance

Re: EXBPA (newest Version) Performance Counter Issue
Hi Robert,

The 'Connectivity Test' is using the pdh library to verify counter
accessibility. I searched around on this error string, but don't have any
thoughts right now on what could be causing the pdh.dll (which is part of
the OS) to return this error.

FYI - ExBPA only uses pdh when you run the 'Health/Performance Check' scan,
so the regular 'Health Check' scan will be unaffected by this issue.

Cheers,
