Exchange 2007 PowerShell Export-Mailbox
Hi,
When performing a mailbox export via the power shell command
'Export-Mailbox' a message is displayed saying 'Moving messages ...'. This
statement does not seem to be true as the messages are actually being
'Copied'. Any chance it can be changed in the next rollup as it gives me the
creeps every time I perform a mailbox backup to PST.

Running Exchange 2007, SP1, Rollup 2

Regards

I hadn't noticed that :-)
Mind you, what's with the backup to PST? What's the point? Doing some
archiving or compliance thing with them and you're lacking the funds
to use a package?

Re: Exchange 2007 PowerShell Export-Mailbox
I should not of used the word backup, although I would feel safer with any
backup solution where the end result was a bunch of PSTs that I could see,
rather than a big lump, either on disk or tape, when you know that your
backup software will fail to restore from for a million different reasons
that are calculated based on the location of sun and the moon in the sky.

In this case I was exporting to PST to get hold of all items from the
dumpster. Cheap way of making sure you have everything from the dumpster, a
Mega undelete if you please, Export to PST then import again.

Tony
