How can i update my Exchange System Management on our Windows Server 2003 server to a SP2 version, as it is requires for Symantec Enterprise Vault that we are installing. As i get the following Message: The Version of Exchange/ESM running on "Server_name" is the release version of Exchange 2003. It is Recommended that you install SP 2. Any ideas? or do i just need to run and install the full Exchange SP2. Regards Kevin
It sounds like you have a server that isn't the Exchange server but has ESM on it and you want to upgrade it to SP2, but not the Exchange server itself? Upgrade your Exchange server to SP2, then do the EV server. wrote in message news:a02af2d2-0087-4f9e-b226-a7b26ffa87c6@2g2000hsn.googlegroups.com... > How can i update my Exchange System Management on our Windows Server > 2003 server to a SP2 version, as it is requires for Symantec > Enterprise Vault that we are installing. > As i get the following Message: > The Version of Exchange/ESM running on "Server_name" is the release > version of Exchange 2003. OK, just download the full SP2 and run it on the server that needs ESM on it. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=535BEF85-3096-45F8-AA43-60F1F58B3C40&displaylang=en It will only update the installed components. wrote in message news:6a6c2bbc-d396-4fa1-afed-db5721325263@34g2000hsh.googlegroups.com... > Our Exchange Server 2003 is SP2, > its just the management tools i need on the other server, but i cant > find an install for a SP2 version of ESM > > > On May 8, 2:31 pm, "Martin Blackstone" wrote: >> It sounds like you have a server that isn't the Exchange server but has >> ESM >> on it and you want to upgrade it to SP2, but not the Exchange server >> itself? >> >> Upgrade your Exchange server to SP2, then do the EV server. >> >> wrote in message >> >> news:a02af2d2-0087-4f9e-b226-a7b26ffa87c6@2g2000hsn.googlegroups.com... >> >> > How can i update my Exchange System Management on our Windows Server >> > 2003 server to a SP2 version, as it is requires for Symantec >> > Enterprise Vault that we are installing. >> > As i get the following Message: >> > The Version of Exchange/ESM running on "Server_name" is the release >> > version of Exchange 2003.
