Re: Windows 2003/Exchange 2003 SP2 migration to Windows 2008/Exchange 2007 SP1
Promoting a Windows 2008 Server to a domain controller is not an Exchange
question. You might post that question to a Windows Server newsgroup.
However, I can answer part of the question. If Exchange is installed on
that Windows 2008 Server, then do not promote it because that is
unsupported. If you must have Exchange installed on a domain controller,
promote it before installing Exchange, and plan on never demoting it unless
you remove Exchange first.

thanks much. Few more question. I installed Windows 2008 x64. I want
to make it a DC. So what needs to be done for that.
1) any issues with Windows XP SP2 professional machines logging into
Domain handled by 2008.
2) Also I have 2 Domain Controllers do I need to something on both
before I add Windows 2008 as DC. I did adprep on a single windows
2000 when I migrated to Windows 2003.
