Getting POP3 Access to Exchange 2003
I have Exchange Server 2003 and needed to have the ability to access it for
an external location. What I want to achieve is to have the users in the
office stay connected through the Exchange Server settings in Outlook. For a
small number of users that are out of the office (5 - 10 users) I want to
have the ability to access and download their mail using POP3 settings. I
know that I would have to open port 110 and direct that to the server. The
settings that I am wondering about are within the Exchange manager, if there
is a simple link to some instructions, I welcome that. The second part of
the question is that I want to just add a second domain name to the same
server, and have it accept mail for this domain name, but add the new domain
in the user accounts manually, meaning I don't want it to be a default
setting when I create a new user account. Thanks Ryan.

Re: Getting POP3 Access to Exchange 2003
Suggestion, why not use RPC over HTTPs instead of POP3 for the remote users?
As for adding the second SMTP domain, you add this to your Default Recipient
Policy and apply to those group of users that you are needing to have it
applied to.
