Hi, We need to run all the 2007 setup /preparead stuff to get our forest schema updated in advance of Exchange 2007. The forest is all running 32-bit servers. I know I can use the 32-bit version of Exchange 2007 to do this, but we don't have that CD. I heard it is available from the MSDN subscription, but what do people do that don't have that? The question is - Can we use the 32-bit version of setup that comes with the Exchange 2007 management tools download from MS to prepare the AD? I notice it does have a lot of schema.ldf files in there. Thank you, Kurt

Thank you. Do you know however if the Management Tools installer will do it as well? It seems to be the same size as the full installer anyway. Hi yes you can use the 32 bit files to prepare your AD and domains. But don't use the link that Oliver has provided because it is RTM not the SP1 version. You should use the SP1 otherwise the schema is extended a second time when you install it. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=44C66AD6-F185-4A1D-A9AB-473C1188954C&displaylang=en Henry "Kurt" wrote: > Thank you. > > Do you know however if the Management Tools installer will do it as well? > It seems to be the same size as the full installer anyway. > > > Kurt > > "Oliver Moazzezi [MVP]" wrote: > > > Get it here: > > http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=444C259E-605F-4A82-96D5-A2F448C9D4FF&displaylang=en > > > > Oliver > > > > > >
