Re: OAB issue (Event ID: 9301) on new Exchange 2007 server
Your first mistake was deleting the one that came over from 2007 as you
could have used this. The reason why your OAB is not being generated is
because it is not being found in your ad.
The error you got is
C:\WINDOWS\system32>err 80072030
# as an HRESULT: Severity: FAILURE (1), FACILITY_WIN32 (0x7), Code 0x2030
# for hex 0x2030 / decimal 8240
ERROR_DS_NO_SUCH_OBJECT winerror.h
# There is no such object on the server.
# 1 matches found for "80072030"
Make sure all of your domain controllers are replicated and in sync and
don't delete the defaults anymore :)

Re: OAB issue (Event ID: 9301) on new Exchange 2007 server
Dear Dgolman;
I did admit I made lots of mistakes!
Can you please tell me a bit more about this? Resync all AD's then check the
E2K7 for the default OAB to comeback? If it's back, then how am I going to
assign it to all of user mailboxes I have? And also, what should I do with
the OAB 07 I just created?
Thanks again
Bill

Re: OAB issue (Event ID: 9301) on new Exchange 2007 server
After 7 days the system will clean itself up and you should be able to
create another address list with the same name. From here you go to the
properties of each mailbox information store and make sure that OAB is
listed as the defaults as this is what the clients will look for when they
are trying to download the OAB.
