Question about versions of exchange 2003
I plan to install 4 exchange 2003 servers with RPC-HTTP, on Windows 2003. 2
Clustered mailbox servers, 2 NLB Front-end servers.

Question: What Windows 2003 and exchange 2003 versions do I need to do this?
ex. Can the front-end servers be Windows 2003 Standard, Exchange 2003
standard?

If I plan to install one Exchange 2003 Enterprise server, can I do this on a
Windows 2003 standard server? - if yes will I have any restrictions using a
windows 2003 standard?

Thanks in advance.

Clustering requires Windows 2003 Enterprise and Exchange 2003 enterprise, so
could on that for your cluster boxes.
As for standard on the FE's, I do believe that is possible but not 100%.

There are no issues running Exchange Ent on Windows Standard. However
Windows Standard limitations apply such as no clustering.

Re: Question about versions of exchange 2003
Hi,

The front-end servers can be both windows and exchange standard versions.
