MaxPageSize is set too high
Good Evening,

I am unsure if this is the correct forum to post this, if it's not, please
direct me to the correct location.

I used the Microsoft Exchange Best Practice Analyzer - Health Check against
our Exchange server and it came back with an error of "MaxPageSize is too
high".

I tried to use the "ntdsutil" tool to set the MaxPageSize to 1000, but I've
run into an error of "DsBindW error 0x6d9(There are no more endpoints
available from the endpoint mapper"

I ran the ntdsutil tool on the Exchange server and one of our domain
controller, but to no avail.

If any has any tips on how to fix this error, I would greatly appreciated.

Steven

I take it you are referring to
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998536(EXCHG.80).aspx.

You need to run ntdsutil on the domain controller to change the policy.

Re: MaxPageSize is set too high
Yes, I've tried the instructions on that link that you've provided and ran
it against my domain controller.

If I try to point to our Exchange server that error pops up, if I point to
our domain controller, I am able to proceed to the next step.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm suppose to be pointint to my Exchange
server to modify the MaxPageSize, not on the domain controller, right?

Steven

Re: MaxPageSize is set too high
Hi,

You are supposed to point to a domain controller - it is an active directory
setting you are going to change.

Re: MaxPageSize is set too high
Understood.

I thought it was suppose to run against the Exchange server, thank you all
for the clarification. I've made the change on the domain controller.

Steven
