We are planning to install a new Exchange 2007 server which will host all roles and will coexist with our existing Exchange 2003 server. I just read a Technet article from Managing OWA Virtual Directories in Exchange 2007 (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998849(EXCHG.80,printer).aspx) that says that Exchange 2003 mailbox users won't be redirected to their mailbox when they access the Client Access server with the /exchange virtual directory if the CAS has both Client Access and Mailbox role installed. We don't want to have to purchase a new Exchange license and server just to work around this. Does anyone know if Exchange 2007 SP1 fixes this or is there a workaround? Thanks. ...If the server that hosts the Client Access server role also hosts the Mailbox server role, users who use the /Exchange virtual directory will be redirected to the /owa virtual directory, which cannot be used by Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003 mailboxes. If you must support Outlook Web Access access to Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003 mailboxes, do not install the Client Access and Mailbox roles on the same Exchange 2007 server.
Create a new OWA URL for the E2K7 users and once migrated, get them to use that. -- Neil Hobson Exchange MVP http://www.msexchange.org/Neil_Hobson/ "Davidi" wrote in message news:E5DE0A0E-C626-4033-A04B-EA20DB15637B@microsoft.com... > We are planning to install a new Exchange 2007 server which will host all > roles and will coexist with our existing Exchange 2003 server.
