No ActiveSync for iPhone
I know there have been a number of simiar posts, but I'm seeing
something a little different.

We have a Server 2003/Exchange 2003 SP2 environment. We have a thrid-
party signed SSL certificate. We have some Blackberries syncing
through a BES server. We have Windows Mobile devices syncing through
ActiveSync.

We have multiple iPhones that are unable to connect. Using either an
original iPhone with firmware 2, or a iPhone 3G with the enterprise
data plan, we always get a message that Exchange verification has
failed. In our mobileadmin web interface, I can see the Windows
Mobiles devices syncing. However, we have an account that attempted
to sync with an iPhone and now give the following error when trying to
view the status:

Server Error in '/MobileAdmin' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of
the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more
information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not
set to an instance of an object.

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the
current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of
the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace
below.

Re: No ActiveSync for iPhone
In the username field in the EAS settings on the iPhone are you using format
"yourinternaldomain\username"? Double Check your servername field.

Re: No ActiveSync for iPhone
I got it working. After creating a brand new account, I was able to
get it to sync on my iPhone. Looking through some other newsgroups, I
stumbled upon this posting.
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windows.server.active_directory/browse_thread/thread/3da065527e85cbb1/366c87fdeb8bec72?lnk=st&q=msExchOmaAdminWirelessEnable#366c87fdeb8bec72

I went into ADSIEdit and found the msExchOmaAdminWirelessEnable
attribute on the test account was set to 32, and my account was set to
37. I changed my value to 32, and was instantly able to ActiveSync my
iPhone.
