password changed but phone works
We have just noticed that if a users password is changed in AD that the
mobile phones continue to sync for at least 24 hours even though they have
the old password. What could be causing this behavior.

Exchange 2003 sp2, ISA 2006, Win 2003 forest, mobile 6 devices.

On another note it appears that Outlook will also function with the exchange
server after a password change on the server.

NOTE: this is not the client changing the password this is an admin changing
it at the AD level.

Re: password changed but phone works
I have never seen this. At my customers, if I change an user password at the
domain level, both Outlook and the devices loo connection and you need to
give them the new password.

But then, I usually work with small customers who have small netowrks. Maybe
your AD server is taking time to "spread" the new passwords around to other
servers.
