Hi A customer has the following environment: Branch A: - AD 2003 - Exchange 2003 - RPC over HTTPS publishing using ISA Server 2006 Branch office B: - DC from branch office A - Outlook 2003 - Users have mailboxes on the Exchange Server in branch A - A lot of them have RPC over https configured because they work a lot outside The user of branch office B are logging on to the DC in their branch. They are starting outlook, which connects normaly over TCP The problem is, that the internet connection in branch B is very bad. At regular intervals they have very bad respose times. Because of that outlook changes automatically to rpc over https and comes up with a login dialog. As far as the respose time is good again, outlook changes back to tcp connection again. That happens several times a day or even several times an hour. That is really annoying for the users, because they have to login each time. I tried to reproduce that in our environment (Exchange 2007 / Outlook 2003) Established a vpn connection startet outlook which connects using tcp. Disconnected vpn, outlook changes to rpc over https without login! I can repeat that as much as I want, I'm never getting a login dialog. Does anyone has an idea what could be the problem? Thanks and regards Peter
