I want to setup ActiveSync on an existing OWA 2003 (SP2) installation published by ISA2004 but after reading several documents am not clear how to do so. FBA is enabled on the listener on the ISA box rather than the Exchange Front End server which I think is the issue. The setup guides for ActiveSync all specifically state that FBA shouldn't be enabled. Is the solution to assign an additional external IP address to the box (NAT'd), with an additional weblistener & SSL Certificate on the ISA box? Is there anything else I need to do or a better solution please? regards Matt
There are some solutions: The easiest and most recommended one is to set an additional IP address, with an additional DNS alias, and use it. Additionally, you can use the method descripted at http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/2004pubowamobile.html . It is not easy to implement, but if correctly done, works like a charm.
