I am receiving the following errors in the event log of the Exchange server: Unexpected Exchange mailbox Server error: Server: [server.domain.local] User: [username@smtpdomain.com] HTTP status code: [501]. Verify that the Exchange mailbox Server is working correctly. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. This occurs after a successful synchronization on the mobile device. The device syncs okay but as soon as the status changes to "Connected" it immediately tries to sync again and then sets the status to "Last synchronised at". I have gone through nearly every setting in our firewall and cannot see anything that could be causing this. I have also checked out the logs to ensure nothing is being blocked during the sync process. Does anyone have any idea what is causing the 501 HTTP error? The device is getting to the server because the emails get transferred however the AUTD function does not work and the devive seems to poll for new messages rather than staying connected to the exchange box as it had been. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Charles Evans
Fixed this. If you do not have "All Unassigned" selected for the IP address of the default website you will need to add entries for the NETBIOS name as host headers for the site.
