activesync 0x80072efd waiting for network error
Hi there,

I have my mobile (WM5) activesync set up to synchronize with my
Exchange Server 2003. As for the settings for the server address (on
my mobile device) I use my server FQDN (e.g. myserver.com) and anytime
I am within my wireless network I got the mobile connecting via
wireless and synchronizing with my Exchange server. If I am not within
my wireless network range I am syncing either via GPRS or different
wireless.

I had to change the router for my local network (from Netgear DG834G
to D-Link DSL-G624T) and now I cannot sync via my local wireless. My
mobile device connects to my wireless without any problems. I can
browse the Internet, etc, but cannot sync. Only when I use my Exchange
server's local IP address as the server address setting on my mobile
device, it connects and syncs, otherwise I am getting 0x80072efd
"Waiting for network" error.

It seems that it must have something to do with the new router DNS
settings (or cached mobile settings?), but I would really appreciate
if someone could guide me some clues how to tackle this problem.

Many thanks,

Jay
