I am trying to configure direct push. Can someone tell the steps involved in configuring direct push?
One question I have is what ports need to be opened in the firewall to allow direct push to function properly? Leland wrote: > I am trying to configure direct push. > > Can someone tell the steps involved in configuring direct push?
I can sync my phone but direct push isn't working. Does your phone support Direct Push? Have you contacted your mobile phone provider to insure the proper update has been applied for the Message and Security Feature Pack? -- John Oliver, Jr MCSE, MCT, CCNA Exchange MVP 2006 Microsoft Certified Partner "Leland" wrote in message news:eqVgkAEgGHA.5088@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >I can sync my phone but direct push isn't working. > > > Leland wrote: >> One question I have is what ports need to be opened in the firewall to >> allow direct push to function properly? >> >> >> Leland wrote: >>> I am trying to configure direct push. >>> >>> Can someone tell the steps involved in configuring direct push?
Yes, the phone belongs to my boss. He said that the direct push was working before we upgraded the software on our firewall. We have since downgraded the software on our firewall and he is claiming that direct push still doesn't work. I can see in Exchange System Manager that we have everything enabled for direct push and in his user profile. Do we need to add an entry in the Exchange System Manager under the area where you enable direct push? John Oliver, Jr. [MVP] wrote: > Does your phone support Direct Push? Just that the "Enable direct push over http(s)" box is checked on the "Mobile Services" property page. If it's a GSM phone, try removing the SIM and reinserting it. I've had several "problems" clear up immediately after doing that. Voice would work, but GPRS wouldn't. On the phone, make sure the sync schedule(s) is set to "as new items arrive". -- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP MS Exchange FAQ at http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Don't send mail to this address mailto:h.pott@getronics.com Or to these, either: mailto:h.pott@pinkroccade.com mailto:melvin.mcphucknuckle@getronics.com mailto:melvin.mcphucknuckle@pinkroccade.com
