Hello All In the "Mobile Services" setting of Exchange System Manager I have the "Enable-up-to-date notifications via SMTP and Text Messaging" turned on (checked) Do I need to add Verizon and there SMTP addresses as a new "Mobile Carrier" for the "Up to date notifications" to work? Thanks Paul
Yes if you're using sms based syncing you will need to add verizon's sms address to the mobile carrier entry or you can add the address manually in activesync on the device. -- -- Eric Hicks [That_Kid] (MS-MVP Mobile Devices) The MS-MVP Program - http://mvp.support.microsoft.com This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights... Verizon's address is vtext.com so in Exchange System Manager you would right click on "Mobile Services" select New>Mobile Carrier, give it a name then for the smtp domain you would put @vtext.com What this does is give the device user the option to use that if they don't know the sms address they should use. In activesync on the device the device phone number would be listed and the user/admin could then choose the correct carrier from the list. -- -- Eric Hicks [That_Kid] (MS-MVP Mobile Devices) The MS-MVP Program - http://mvp.support.microsoft.com This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights...
