I'm new to PocketPC mobility. Our organization has an Exchange Server 2000 / Windows Server 2000 backend server, and I'm attempting to add an Exchange Server 2003 / Windows Server 2000 Front-end to allow Mobile Activesync. However, with OMA I'm getting this error: Outlook(R) Mobile Access is supported only on Microsoft(R) Exchange Server 2003. Currently your mailbox is stored on an older version of Exchange server. Please contact your system administrator for additional assistance. With Mobile ActiveSync, I get error 0x85010004 (Your account in Microsoft Exchange Server does not have permission to sync with your current settings). I've googled around, and everything I've found suggests that your _should_ be able to have an Exchange 2000 backend. Is this wrong, or does this just mean I have something configured wrong? OWA works, by the way. -John

The only way this was supported with Exchange 2000 was with the additional MIS server from Microsoft. Unfortunately MIS has been discontinued as all that functionality has been incorporated into Exchange 2003. -- -- -- Eric Hicks [That_Kid] (MS-MVP Mobile Devices) The MS-MVP Program - http://mvp.support.microsoft.com This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights...
