Hi, I have enabled SSL for the /exchange folder. Everything on the web works fine but my phone doesn't work anymore. So i followed the microsoft article and created for EAS the new virtual directory and I also set the parameter in the registry for the new virtual directory. But I still can't sync with the exchange server. It worked fine when i didnt have SSL enabled. I already restarted the services and PC. Can you please help me. I'm a newbie on this and just trying to learn exchange
Can you give us some information on how you have configured your phone? On 20 Apr 2006 19:01:46 -0700, joel.escutia@gmail.com wrote: >Hi, > >I have enabled SSL for the /exchange folder. active sync with the server name and password. Made sure SSL was unckecked. I noticed something. When i go to the Micorsoft-Server-ActiveSync option under Defaut Website on IIS and go to properties, i see SSL is enabled. Once i uncheck that option active sync started working again. My question is does this cause a security hole and did i have to go through this guide? (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817379/en-us) I used method 2. Or can i undo what i did in the guide and just make sure SSL is not checked under Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync. Thanks
Hi there, Let's try this method and I'd made it work on my Exchange2003SP2 + SSL + ActiveSync 4.1 --> WM5.0 http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2006/01/28/making_a_root_cert_cab_file.aspx Cheers Simon wrote in message news:1145584905.959971.181830@z34g2000cwc.googlegroups.com... > Hi, > > I have enabled SSL for the /exchange folder.
