Exchange 2003 ActiveSync SP2
Really need some help here. Here's the scenario

I have 1 exchange 2003 SP2 server. No Frontend Server just 1 node. Currently
i have SSL enabled and i can use OWA and OMA from the Internet, but not
ActiveSync. I simply get a password prompt again and again even though the
credentials are correct.

If i untick require SSL and use port 80 my mobile 5 device syncs over
ActiveSync direct to the server over GPRS or 3G no worries, but this is not a
solution since the company policy requires SSL. I have tried the Microsoft
fix to create another ExchDAV that does not require SSL and that is how OMA
started working. Activesync however is still non-functional.

Certificate is publicly verified and address matches exactly.

Questions

1. Has anyone got ActiveSync working on their Mobile 5 device with a single
server setup (no frontend and Backend) with SSL enabled.

2. I dont really need OWA or OMA just ActiveSync over web is their a way i
can use SSL for ActiveSync if i am not worried about the others?

Really stuck. If anyone can help i would be very greatful.

Re: Exchange 2003 ActiveSync SP2
I got it to work. Check to make sure the root certificate CA for your SSL
certificate is listed as one of the trusted roots on our PDA. If not you
will have to install it on MW5 device. Only a handful are included on WM5
devices, not the standard list that's on XP.

When you say you can get OMA to work from the internet, do you mean have
your gotten RPC-HTTP to work with SSL?

I assume you have enabled Mobile Access in Exchange System Manager.

My configuration: single MS Exchange 2003 Server (SP2) as a member server
(e.g. it is neither a domain controller not global catalog.) There is a
DC/GC server next to it. I got it to work. I took these incremental steps:

1) Got OWA to work.
2) Got OWA to work with SSL.
3) Got RPC over HTTP to work with SSL
4) Got OMA to work.
5) Got OMA to work with SSL
