Hi, I have seen the our administrator account access mailboxes of exchange 2003 users. I am the admin - and I have not physically accessed that mailbox. Is it the Exchange Mailbox Manager running behind the scenes or what? I saw this in Exchange System Manager. Thx
You saw it listed as DOMAIN_NAME\Administrator? Not NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM? The Mailbox Manager runs as the latter. Do you have any third-party applications that touch mailboxes that might be connecting as the Administrator account? Voicemail, fax, BlackBerry server...? Hi, Yes. I see it as DOMAIN_NAME\Administrator not NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. The only 3rd party that I can think of is Symantec Backup Exec which runs using DOMAIN_NAME\Administrator. Thanks
If you're doing brick-level backups of your mailboxes from BackupExec, then you have your answer. "dhavaln" wrote in message news:00F46E79-B7EF-4CA1-9F27-874491811CD8@microsoft.com... > Hi, > > Yes. Hi, I am not doing any brick level backups of mailboxes from Backup. Just the full information store. That's all.
