can a mailbox be scanned and repaired on the server?
I am working with scanpst.exe with limited success. the user had neither OST
or PST on the local machine, before I created them, and scan pst keeps
finding errors in the ost.

So I think the profile o the server is the issue, not the workstation.

If the profile on the server is corrupt and not the workstation, is there a
tool to address that?

any input is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Ummm...how did you create the OST/PST? What sort of corruption are you
seeing? What version of Outlook are you using?

Re: can a mailbox be scanned and repaired on the server?
I suspect the profile was that way when I got here.
Client uses Outlook 2003, which I set for cache mode, and I started creating
pst's of folders before getting to work. there were no ost's or pst's on the
workstation before I began,
errors are fairly benign: user cannot share Tasks.

thanks,
