Changing a User's Name
I am having problems getting a user's name to change fully and
completely following a legal name change.

I have successfully changed it at the AD level; added a new e-mail
address and made it the default; changed logins... In fact,
everything is working perfectly, except that Outlook 2003 still sends
e-mail out with the old name.

I have rebuilt the GAL. Rebooted the user. Changed to non-cached mode
in Outlook. Dis-associated the user in Control Panel | Mail and re-
associated it under the new name. In short, I have done everything I
know to do, and everything I've read online to make it work, and
despite all the effort, e-mail still goes out showing the old name
(with the new default e-mail address).

What on Earth is holding the old name still? Any suggestions on how to
get it flushed out?

My network user is getting bent about it. ;-)

Never mind. Apparently a restart of Exchange was required to force
everything to update. Following the restart, all is well.

Re: Changing a User's Name
In AD if you go into the properties of the User's Account in ADUC the
old name doesn't appear anywhere?

Re: Changing a User's Name
It can take up to two hours. How long did you wait?
