Moving Exchange 2000 Mailboxes to EX 2003
Hi,

Just asking if it was the same routine to connect mailboxes from backups
across the two versions 2000/2003.

For example create user with no default email and then reconnect after
restore.

Can I use the 2000 databases, copy them to default 2003 folder. Use ESEUTIL
to rebuild and sync databases etc etc or is their another way?.

Thanks in return

Forkifiting? yes you can do that but Microsoft Does not support fork lifting
of exchange databases.
If both of your servers belong to the same organization then I dont see any
valid point in copying and pasting the database files to the new servers.
You can simply use Exchange Tasks Wizard to move the mailboxes to the new
server.
